Huerta was once the fastest rising star in the lightweight division, and the man tipped to be the future of UFC’s division. He went 6-0 in a single year in the promotion, and looked set on course for legend.
Sadly, injuries, comebacks and losses mounted, he left the UFC in some acrimony, and his career now hangs in the balance.
One FC have picked up the star, and he looks set to rehabilitate and resurrect his elite career by conquering Asia. First step? Phil Baroni.
Huerta had this to say;
“I don’t want to talk with media about this much, I just want to get it done. I’m shocked that it’s played out like this but I’m going to be ready. I can’t say I’m happy about it all. (I’m) happy to be in One FC fighting, shocked at the opponent that wanted to fight me. I want to fight and hurt someone now”.
Huerta trains in the camp with the best BJJ in Thailand, best BJJ in Phuket, under 3rd degree black belt Olavo Abreu and black belt and fellow One FC fighter Rodrigo Praxedes, best MMA in Phuket altogether, with its combined world class boxing, wrestling, Muay Thai and BJJ instruction.
