Thailand’s premiere MMA camp, Phuket Top Team, went 2-1 at Bangla Stadium on Saturday night.
Johan from Norway won in the first round with a devastating finish from a straight right cross counter punch. Chase won a Bangla Stadium title with a TKO finish in round 3 via leg kicks and a punch flurry, which took PTT’s record against Sinbi Muay Thai fighters to 5-0. And finally, Kru Robert Lek thoroughly dominated the first two rounds, but his lack of preparation for the fight due to the rigours of being a full time coach got the better of him, and the referee stopped the fight due to his lack of cardio (bearing in mind that upset KO’s are not appreciated by the gamblers in Thailand) who bet against flagging fighters.
Another Bangla title in the bag. PTT continues to add to its reputation, which includes boasting world class boxing instruction from Barry Robinson, the best BJJ in Thailand with 3rd degree black belt and BTT founding member Olavo Abreu, and black belt and undefeated MMA fighter Rodrigo Praxedes, PTT is indisputably the #1 camp for MMA in Phuket, and MMA in Thailand.
